In this key role, you will actively shape the future of our innovative medical devices – strategically, technologically, and as a people leader.

Your Responsibilities:
• Oversee the entire development project portfolio, including prioritization, resource planning, and on-time execution
• Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to an interdisciplinary team in product and process development
• Collaborate closely with the Metal/Montage, Plastics, Packaging, Support, and Regulatory Affairs departments, as well as related areas such as Quality Assurance, Purchasing, and Production
• Manage partnerships with development service providers, universities, and partner companies; actively lead government-funded innovation projects
• Initiate and lead pre-development projects to explore new technologies for future product generations (e.g., PFAS alternatives, silicone-free needle coatings)
• Foster a culture of innovation and promote active technology transfer within the department
• Optimize established, regulation-compliant development processes through digitalization and the use of AI-powered tools

Your Profile:
• Master’s or Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (e.g., Biomedical Engineering)
• Several years of experience in developing mechanical products for series production, ideally with initial leadership responsibility
• Proven experience in project management and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Passion for innovation and affinity for digital tools and modern technologies
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Good technical English skills, both written and spoken
• Experience in regulated development environments (ISO 13485, MDR) is an advantage but not mandatory
