This week, Mayor Andreas Weiher visited sfm medical devices to receive an update on the construction progress of the state-of-the-art sterilization facility in person. Accompanied by Peter Strötgen, Managing Director of sfm medical devices, he visited the future facility, which is set to be operational next year and is considered a key project for strengthening medical technology in Wächtersbach.

The planned sterilization facility represents a significant investment into the future, enabling sfm medical devices to independently and efficiently sterilize its medical products while guaranteeing the highest safety standards. During his conversation with Peter Strötgen, Mayor Weiher expressed his admiration for the technological ambition of the new facility and praised the progress made by the company on this project. “The investment in this facility underscores sfm medical devices’ commitment to providing innovative and reliable medical technology,” Weiher emphasized.

Sfm medical devices, a company specializing in the production of high-quality medical devices, has been a key employer in the region for many years and makes a valuable contribution to the local economy. With the new sterilization facility, the company will become even more independent and be able to expand its production in the long term. Peter Strötgen explained the technical aspects of the project to the mayor and highlighted its future benefits: “The facility will enable us to carry out the sterilization of our products directly on-site, allowing us to respond even more flexibly to our customers’ requirements.”

The visit concluded with a tour of the company, during which Mayor Weiher learned about other current projects and sfm medical devices’ expansion plans. The new facility is a key component of the company’s sustainable growth strategy and will contribute to strengthening medical care through safe and sterile products “Made in Wächtersbach.”

“With this new sterilization facility, sfm medical devices is sending a clear signal for the future of medical technology in our region,” Mayor Weiher stated in closing. “The company impressively demonstrates how modern technologies and regional roots can work together to secure jobs and drive innovation.”
