As a company deeply rooted in the region, sfm is committed to supporting the community beyond its business activities. Through a donation of €1,500, sfm medical devices GmbH has helped the Wächtersbach Volunteer Fire Department purchase a new thermal imaging camera.
During the donation handover, Fire Chief Martin Koch accepted the contribution and thanked Patrick Schmidt, who presented the donation on behalf of sfm. Supporting nonprofit organizations is an important part of sfm’s commitment to strengthening the local community and recognizing the efforts of those who volunteer their time to keep others safe.
The new thermal imaging camera significantly enhances the fire department’s operational capabilities. In firefighting situations, it allows responders to detect heat sources even in heavy smoke or complete darkness. This helps crews locate missing persons more quickly, identify hidden fire sources, and monitor hot spots after a fire has been extinguished. In addition, the system supports technical rescue operations and the inspection of buildings and facilities for potential hazards. (Source: Wächtersbach Fire Department)
This contribution reflects sfm’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and to actively supporting the well-being and safety of the local community.
The Wächtersbach Fire Department expressed its sincere appreciation for the donation. The new thermal imaging camera will help make operations safer and more efficient, directly benefiting the residents of the region.
