sfm Takes Action: Tree Planting Day in the Spessart

On October 13, 2026, members of the sfm team stepped away from their desks and headed into the forest. As part of Germany’s largest tree-planting tour of 2026, PLANT-MY-TREE® organized a tree planting day in Bischbrunn, in the Spessart region.

As a partner of PLANT-MY-TREE®, we were excited to take an active part in the initiative. Representing different areas of sfm, our team included our Head of Human Resources, Executive Assistant, Sustainability Manager, and Works Council Chairman.

Despite the rainy fall weather, everyone pitched in. Together with the other participants, we planted several hundred sycamore maple and Atlas cedar seedlings throughout the day.

The work was hands-on from start to finish: shovel in hand, dig a hole, plant a seedling, and move on to the next.

At the end of the day, we were tired, but proud of what had been accomplished. It was rewarding to see just how much can be achieved when many people work together toward a common goal.

For the sfm team, the day was about more than planting trees. It was an opportunity to spend time outdoors together, take action, and see the tangible results of a shared effort.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this a memorable day!
